Auracast shines at Lincoln Center
On November 1st, GN's Global Audiology and External Relations teams showcased Auracast™ broadcast audio at a concert at Lincoln Center in New York City, marking the world’s first live concert to broadcast Auracast directly to ReSound Nexia™ hearing aids in a major public venue.
This event was suggested and made possible by renowned composer Richard Einhorn, a long-time ReSound hearing aid wearer. It featured a stunning performance of his “Voices of Light,” performed by the New York Choral Society, featuring a 187-member ensemble. Seventeen industry leaders, including influencer Andy Bellavilla, attended the event. Bellavilla wrote the following blog post summarizing the impact of the experience: Auracast at the Lincoln Center.
Although the trial used the Auracast-enabled TV-Streamer+ and a development version of the ReSound Smart 3D™ app (rather than standard Auracast transmitters), the event demonstrated the power and immense potential of this technology.
