A major recent study of more than half a million people sheds more light on the link between hearing loss and dementia – but what’s the story behind the data?
In a recent edition of LISTEN TO THIS™, a major study of more than half a million people was able to shed more light on the link between hearing loss and dementia. Untreated hearing loss was associated with a 20% higher risk of developing dementia, whereas participants using hearing aids had only a 6% increased risk. This further confirms the importance of hearing health and early detection of hearing loss.
