Samsung Galaxy S23 and Nexia update

After installing the newly released Android 14 operating system, the flagship phone in Samsung’s portfolio, the Samsung Galaxy S23, is now the first smartphone on the market allowing ReSound Nexia to be the first hearing aid manufacturer to fully take advantage of Bluetooth Low Energy audio and Auracast broadcast audio.

Nexia patients with a Samsung Galaxy S23 phone can download the Android 14 operating system and will have immediate access to both hands-free calling and Auracast broadcast functionality (using the device’s Broadcast Assistant) all while realizing the power savings while using Bluetooth LE Audio.

This is a positive indication that the adoption of Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast audio is being more rapidly embraced as the Bluetooth standard of choice. This technology adoption by Samsung, one of the leading Android phone manufacturers, is happening sooner than we expected.
